My parents are off to Oklahoma this morning. They are eager to be home, I think. As soon as Dad uploads all of the pictures and videos from our trip, I’ll be sure to share them with you here.
Meanwhile, I’m glad to be back in Provence. There were so many tourists and foreigners everywhere we went that I got to really miss French people. It was nice to come back and hear my French friends speaking in their nasal, southern accents. It’s amazing to me how quickly I’ve adapted to life here, and how much I missed it while I was away. I’m much more flexible than I thought!
Just wanted to say “Merry Christmas” a little late.
You are more flexible!
Remember that college application we filled out a couple of years ago? It asked what your biggest weakness was, and you answered “flexibility”. Good job, Kelly Rose. :)
Merry Christmas!
I’m looking forward to hearing what Christmas in France is like. Do they recognize the twelve days? Anything special for Epiphany? Will you eat crepes on Candlemas?
Sorry I haven’t replied in so long!
As far as I can tell, no one here does anything except tear through the presents Santa gave them on Christmas day. I’ve heard rumors of families attending Christmas Eve Midnight Mass and then having Christmas dinner afterwards, but I don’t know anyone who did that this year. I’m very disappointed, but not surprised, considering the spiritual state of this country.
My advent candles are all burned up, and my Christ candle is just about gone- it has one more day to go, since I’m burning it through Epiphany.
I hope you had a joyful Christmas and have a wonderful Epiphany tomorrow!
