I’m leaving for France today. I’m not sure when I’ll get a chance to update next- probably not until Thursday or Friday. I’ll do my best. I just hope I can get on the interwebs somehow. I don’t know how tech-savvy my family is.
I miss all of you already! I hope some of you (all of you) come to visit me, so I can show you around and show you off to my new family!
Youpi!
The event I’ve looked forward to for years has happened and I hate it, hate it, hate it! After 27 years of children, I have an empty nest and it may be the worst feeling I’ve ever had.
On the up-side, my Kelly is soon to be in France, experiencing all sorts of new adventures…I’m looking forward to the vicarious thrills and possibly some new recipes!
Kelly, we’ve prayed that you would get some rest, find good food to eat and not miss any connecting flights. God is sovereign even in France (my thesaurus says “commanding, guiding, directing, highest, loftiest”, I agree!
XOXO, mom
PS What do you mean, “I don’t know how tech-savvy my family is.”?! I know how to push that thing and that other thing!
Update on behalf of Kelly Rose: I dropped her off at DFW airport yesterday (Tues). She was trying to remember to breathe, convincing her stomach to calm down, and was lamenting the fact that she couldn’t take kombucha on the plane. She should have arrived in Madrid early this morning (Wed.), had a nice Spanish desayuno, and hopped on a plane to Marseilles. Hopefully she’ll let us know she made it, and will have a few of those terribly horrific but in hindsight hilarious travelling stories. I hope it involves a pocketknife. :D
Mom, I meant my French family. :)
Sorry Kelly, I’m too close to the trip to tell any funny stories- they still all seem sad to me. Wait a bit and we’ll see!
In the meanwhile, I’m trying to get used to the French keyboard (makes for some funny sentences), and my window has shutters! I’m more-than-normally excited by that fact. Also, I’m already having trouble spelling things in English.
