It’s been a whirlwind sort of day. I got my labor contract in this morning’s mail, and almost drove off to Texas tonight. I thought I could get the last visa section appointment for Friday morning, but someone got to it before I could. Instead, I’ve made an appointment for Monday morning. Mom and I will drive down to Dallas/Fort Worth on Sunday, spend the night with our friend Lisa, and then drive down to Houston at dawn Monday. I’ll have my appointment and hopefully (!!!) get my visa while I’m there. If it all works out, I might buy a plane ticket and leave from Houston or Dallas. If not, I’ll be coming back to Oklahoma and leaving as soon as I get my visa. My language classes start on Monday, the 6th, so I need to get moving!
Pray that the French consulate people will feel compelled to help me… and that they won’t hate my haircut.
Buy your ticket. You have all your paperwork. You’re fine. Buy your ticket.
prayin’ against hair cut haters- will do.
Thanks, Jolly. :)
Tami, really? It just makes me so nervous to commit my scant dollars like that!
I’d have to disagree with the suggestion to buy the plane ticket. At less than a week out, you’re not going to get any major price break buying today rather than monday. And do you really want to bet on the consistency, fluidity, and punctuality of international bureaucracy? I say not.
Yeah, it’s that whole bureaucracy thing that worries me.
So??? Are you in Houston? Did you buy the plane ticket?
